Position Overview:

As Aviron continues to scale rapidly and expand globally, the company is seeking a Head of Operations to lead the company through its next phase of growth. The Head of Ops will be a critical member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO of the company. The Head of Ops will bring an operational discipline and data-driven approach to Aviron and will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring continued responsible profitability, and delivering a high-quality customer experience. The Head of Ops will provide leadership over suppliers, procurement, factory, supply chain, technology, business intelligence, business tools and systems, logistics and fulfillment, facilities and customer support.

  • At least 10 years of success in a senior operations role with a proven track record of achieving substantial improvements in business operations resulting in significant and steady increases in profitability over the course of several reporting periods
  • Experience scaling high growth companies or business units
  • Strong track record of hiring, retaining and motivating high performing teams that consistently produce outstanding results
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with strict attention to detail and proven ability to understand and act on financial and technical data

  • Develop, establish and direct execution of operating policies to support overall company objectives and planned performance goals
  • Build an agile and cost-effective distribution network that best support our business model delivers exceptional customer service levels
  • Appraise and evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically
  • Develop and manage all relevant systems, processes and procedures across the organization to ensure operational excellence
  • Develop and measure key performance metrics across all operational functions of the business
  • Conduct rigorous ROI analysis on product spend and work to define and develop the annual budget, meet budget goals and review financial performance
  • Oversee significant system platforms (e.g., ERP, WMS) to ensure our back-end operations and toolkit utilize best in class technology
  • Attract, hire, train, develop and direct a staff of professionals to oversee each of their specific areas of responsibility to achieve company goals and objectives
