Today, the Company is based in Toronto, Ontario but offers the ability for its employees to work remotely.

Position Overview:

The Chief of Staff (“COS”) will work directly with the CEO to support Aviron’s growth initiatives and operational execution. The COS will support the CEO to ensure that the plans and priorities of the CEO are effectively coordinated and executed in a fast-paced environment. She/he will also spearhead special projects and manage cross-functional teams across operations, customer service, business development, and finance to meet business needs and achieve team-wide goals.


  • Develop business and project plans for initiatives that cut across the organization
  • Initial projects will be focused on operational initiatives and business development efforts
  • Provide decision support through research, analysis of information, and clear presentation of considerations
  • Manage critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the ability to effectively execute on top priorities
  • Prepare communication and research for the CEO, including, but not limited to, company updates, presentations, and data analysis
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external audiences; this will usually involve designing highly compelling presentations for company-wide meetings and speaking engagements
  • Provide ad-hoc support on projects small to large; these could include presentations (internal and external), research tasks, financial modeling, internal initiatives, facility and regulatory execution, new market explorations, and more; step in where help is most needed

The Ideal Candidate Possesses:

  • Work experience in management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or private equity; operating experience at a consumer and/or gaming company is a plus
  • Experience with high growth companies or business units
  • Strong analytical/financial modeling skills
  • Scrappy, hands-on mentality and willingness to take on tasks both small and large
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and manage wide-scale projects across multiple levels and functions of the organization; understands how to motivate teams while maintaining a sense of humility
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills, being able to solve problems with practical judgment
  • Proven ability to spearhead critical strategic initiatives, which integrate quantitative and qualitative analysis and drive business results
  • Incredibly organized with impeccable attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
